Along with a full-fledged single-player campaign (with upgradable gear), the game features standard loadout-based multiplayer (co-developed by Certain Affinity) and a detailed level creation system (which is called "SnapMap" and is co-developed by Escalation). The fourth mainline title in the franchise of the same name and its second reboot, Doom harkens back to the fast-paced philosophy of early Doom and Quake installments (avoiding the slower survival-horror mechanics of Doom 3). It was later ported by Panic Button to the Nintendo Switch (without SnapMap functionality) on November 10, 2017.

The story would of also began with Kairi exploring an abandoned house only to encounter a Hell knight which would be the first demon in an invasion on Destiny Islands (an encounter with 2 other islanders would of also ended in a copy of events of the hologram at the security panel in both DOOM's E3 demo and final release).Īs time went on elements were added and removed. This new version contained new elements such as the introduction of a connection to Kairi and the Marine.
The story would eventually have its climax with a battle against the Cyberdemon.Īfter it became apparent that the final game would somewat different from it's 2015 demo, the story received reworking. Eventually Sora and at least Donald and Goofy would found themselves in the UAC Mars base itself and traveled through areas following the path of the Doom Marine essentially seeing the aftermath of the various arena fights the player would carry out in DOOM's campaign. The original story would of focused on Sora and company dealing with the Demonic hordes around the same time as the reboot's storyline.
